FINEST ENGLISH VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER SEA HORSE HANDLE COFFEE POT; 30 OUNCES; EXCELLENT CONDITION
We are pleased to offer this rare Victorian sterling silver sea horse handle coffee pot.
From Robert Harper in 1853.
Classic baluster form.
Persian inspired leaf and floral in spire frame medallion. Partial shading for brilliant visual appeal.
Streaming petal overflow rim, layered panels along base.
Elaborate beaded edge twin pedestal globe finial.
Even more striking leaf cap "sea horse" handle. Comprised of gradually tapering rippling spine panels, rolled and cut at end. Well, it was either sea horse or caterpillar.
Interwoven CE monogram.
This rare Victorian sterling silver sea horse handle coffee pot is 11 inches tall.
Exceptionally thick heavy guage sterling it weighs 30 (standard) ounces.
Hallmarked as shown.
In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Cover closes flush. The "sea horse" handle secure and with original heat stops. Few tiny dints.
