This is a German version of the English battery driven Eureka balance wheel clock made in the U.K. starting in 1906. The German version was advertised in the German Clockmaker's Newspaper as early as 1911. This clock is original except for the dial which is a modern replacement. Unlike the U.K. Eureka which used 1 1/2 volts, this clock uses 4 1/2 volts to run. It runs well but fast, so it will need some regulation. It comes with a proper 6 1/2"x12" dome. The brass base has a couple of creases; otherwise it is in fine condition. It measures 15" high x 9" wide. Sold as is and as found; no guarantee. A 9% sales tax on the final offer of this item will be added to the shipping charge due to a problem with .
