Exceptionally Beautiful Antique 18thC Ecclesiastical Metallic Brocaded Silk Product DescriptionThis is an exceptionally beautiful example of antique 18th century French church vestment silk.

The silk is woven with a gorgeous design including an Agnus Dei Lamb, roses and stylised acanthus leaves.

The acanthus leaves and the Lamb are woven with silver metallic wire thread of different textures.

The piece is in very good used condition, there is just some very slight rubbing on the silver wire threads in the centre, in a small area.

The piece measures 21 x 40 inches. It would be ideal to re-use as an orphrey for the back of a vestment, or of course the wonderful silk could be re-worked in other projects.
