Title Gorgeous Empire Bag Chandelier
This is a stunning early French chandelier with a large crystal bag made up from graduated octagonal droplets.
It is a very unusual shape with six D-shape projections running around the central band which gives it almost a flower shape when viewed from beneath.
There are icicle or spear shape drops running around the centre and more at the top beneath a brass acanthus leaf finial.
The central band features a wave pattern with each of the projections having a raised acanthus leaf.

The brass is very thick and heavy and has mellowed with age to a deep dark patina.
There are six lights in candle form around the frame and a further three in the centre which shine through the crystal bag when lit.

It has been fully restored and rewired with all new electrical parts including new bulb holders and supports as well as all new candle drip covers.
In full working order and complete including replacement ceiling fitting, ready to fit.
All in super condition commensurate with age, early 20th century.

This looks exquisite when lit with the light shining through the crystals....there are nearly 700 crystals in total!
