Despite my best efforts the photos do not do this rug justice. The detail and quality are exceptional. I count at least 14 knots per inch but I am not certain on the kpsi. I have owned very fine wool rugs in excess of 300 kpsi and this rug is of similar quality. It was purchased from a very wealthy estate sale. I am not sure on age but my guess is at least 30 years old and possibly quite older. There is no tag on it but I am certain it was hand made.the rug lies flat and does not stink. There are some minor stains on the fringes but none on the rug itself. There is no apparent foot traffic wear. Dimensions are 47.5\" wide by 73.5\" long. The fringes add another 3\" of length on either end for a combined length of nearly 80\".
