Extremely Rare. I Think Airbrush Sprayed Poole Pottery " Dormouse Asleep ":
On offer is what Ibelieveto be one of the Extremely rare ! Cream and Brown airbrushed models." DORMOUSE ASLEEP "
Quoting from the Bible of Poole Pottery Animals by Mr Roger Hartley. These models were airbrushed sprayed and have the catalogue numbers 421, and 423 to 431 inclusive. The airbrushed Brown and Cream models were not cast from their respective Stoneware moulds-their fur detail has been removed from the insideof the moulds ( perhaps for airbrushing purposes )and the new moulds produced weremarginallylarger moulds. Please forgive me if I have got it wrong. There are enough Poole collectors globally who will know if this is correct or not. Please feel free to email me with the correct information and I will list your comments for all to see. With a start price of only .99p and . As always the buyers will set the price.Thank you.International buyers. If you would like a signed for and tracked postal service please let me know. The White marks are light reflection.

Mr Roger Hartley. Author and complier of the Bible on Poole Pottery animals kindly contacted me .Here is anexcerpt from what he said about the two models I have listed.Firstly that they're not very popular, and secondly the fact that the range is so limited. I believe there were just 3 small Mice, 2 Dormice, 4 Rabbits, and the Mallard Duckling produced plus an amusing laying down Puppy which was produced as a trial so there's not much of a challenge there for collectors andthe limited range suggests that sales were not particularly good when the models were introduced in 1979 for otherwise it would surely have been further extended, rather than discontinued in 1980." I would say the models produced that proved un-popular at the time, now some 33 years later are extremely rare. For that very reason ! " Produced in small numbers for a very limited time equates to extremely rare.Well I would think that as I am selling them, however it is only the buyers that really matter, so as always it is up to you.
