Extremely hard to find British Sewing Machine made by William Jackson, London. . Have you ever seen such a Jackson machine? Probably no, as this machine was produced only during a short period by 1867/1868. Only a small number were made and only a few are known to have survived. . The machine is all original, no cracks, no repairs, no repainting. I have olny cleaned the machine from dirt, dried up oil and surface rust. There is a new spring pressing down the presser foot. It is missing the needle, the spoolpin and the bobbin. If you turn the hand wheel, the machanism works, all parts are moving. For condition of painting and decals see pictures. A drawing of a similar machine is shown in ISMACS News, issue 2, page 2. The story of William Jackson can be read in ISMACS News, issue 51, page 37.
