ITEM: You are offerding on a fabulous vintage 1938 - 1942 art deco modernist machine age industrial design Telechron electric clock. An early digital or cyclometer numeric clock with a handsome sleek and modernist black and brown two tone bakelite case. -- In running condition an iconic and well designed antique art deco era electric clock as seen. -- Although the design of the Granada is unattributed, its great similarity
to the Walter Dorwin Teague designed 8B07 “Baron” telechron clock, the design elements strongly hint that
he had a hand in the design of this clock as well. Produced between the years of
1938 and 1942 Company records indicate there were 26,514 sold.
Measures 8" across and stands about 4"tall by 4" deep

CONDITION: Clock is in very fine near mint cosmetic condition, a couple of tiny flea bites along the edges of the case and a scuff or line through the metal housing around the numeric display - it runs quietly and seems to keep accurate time. The cord is 100% not usable the old cord is brittle and compromised and needs to be replaced before use. This is a great machine age art deco modernist design and a very rare old clock!! I cannot guarantee that this will run for weeks, months or years - I want you to be happy with this clock. I can describe the physical condition and take numerous pictures for you to judge the aesthetic and condition. I love old clocks the designs and modernist aspects I find really compelling, that said I would never use one every day, I would keep it in a showcase for display. This clocks seem to run great but it has no guarantees other than the present physical and currently running condition.
