Prior to being acquired by this collector, these Fancy Cancels may have been in many collections and although various collectors may have penciled-in notes, measurements, identifications, descriptions, prices, etc. we are fortunate that this collector was such a well regarded expert in this field.We are selling the Fancy Cancel which is accurately identified and described above. In many cases the Collector (and we) has referenced \"Cancellation & Killers of the Banknote Era 1870-1897\" by James Cole. We are told, but cannot confirm that this collector was a contributor to this highly regards reference book.
