Fantastic ** Bit ** With ** Huge ** Sterling ** Conchos *** Must See For Sale
Here is an absolutely gorgeous, huge, sterling silver, concho bit. The bit is marked Sleister, however, I feel that the conchos have been added at a later time. The conchos are just gorgeous!! The conchos are 3 3/4" in diameter, rope edged and the rose is 3 dementional. The stem of the rose is a bronze or gold colored. I have never seen such a beautiful set of conchos in all of my years of collecting. The Sleister bit is engraved in the steel, the overall length is 7". I feel the hangers have been added to the bit as well as the mouthpiece. The mouth piece in my opinion looks to be a Miller or Tietjen half breed. The port is 2" tall, 1 1/8" wide with a heavy brass roller that gives it a good sound. The bit is a loose jawed bit. Add this bit into a fancy headstall and a set of romel reins and you'll have a stunning, one of a kind outfit, something that will really stand out.
