This fantastic figural cupid Oil Banquet Lamp is in good to excellent original condition. It has never been altered or electrified. We haven't cleaned or worked on the lamp at all.. It is a large, impressive lamp that is made of heavy quality spelter castings with wonderful detailing. The beautiful, deep rich patina is all original. The ornate brass font is still solid and should hold oil so the lamp could probably still be used as an oil lamp. The wick adjuster on the font is marked "THE DAYLIGHT, C&K". The lamp has 3 minor issues which are as follows. Part of cupid's bow is broken and needs to be re attached (sixth row of photos). We have the missing piece and it will be included when we ship the lamp. The "cage" around the font holder is not on the holder quite right (9th row of photos). We haven't tried to straighten it for fear of doing damage. Lastly one chimney prong on the font is loose. There are absolutely no other breaks, cracks, dents or damages on the lamp The lamp base measures 8 1/4" across each of the ornate legs. The lamp stands 31 1/2" tall to the top of the burner. The lamp weighs over 18 pounds (this is not shipping weight). In the bottom photos we've shown it next to another typical banquet lamp of this era to give you an idea of its size. A fantastic, impressive, figural banquet lamp that would be a valued addition to your decor or lighting collection. Please feel free to email any questions or for specific close-ups before offerding.
