Offered for sale is a Fabulous 19th Century Wooden Bowl, circa 1860This wonderful Northeast US primitive is original with fabulous age patina. The maple bowl has been turned from a huge tree. The bowl measures 17" in diameter. The bowl thickness is approximately 3/4". It stands 4-1/4" in height. The bowl is typically slightly ovid in shape. There are two very slight age cracks noted. They do not affect the function or soundness of the bowl and are typical of a bowl of this age which has been subject to 100+ years of damp and dry conditions. The interior of the bowl exhibits lovely evidence of use adding to the patina of this wonderful primitive. The size of this bowl makes it a rare find and a true treasure!
