Get Vendio Gallery - Now FREE! this is an amazing large pair of art nouveau metal figural lamp holders, the best ive seen, they measure about 48.5cm high, they weigh about 2.7kg and 2.8kg, so pick up very welcome as these will be difficult to pack and post, they are in untouched dirty condition and still have remains of old wiring which is in very poor condition so they do need re-wiring. each figure is holding 2 lamps, just imagine these with the flickering flame type bulbs, they would look amazing, not seen any like them before, they both have a plaque on the front and impressed marks on the back of the base. both bases have holes near the feet for some reason, maybe they had on and off switches, underneath the bases are both damaged with cut out holes, one base looks a brassy colour where its worn and the figures have a bronzed appearance although i think they are probably some other metal, possibly spelter, viewing best option. the lamp holders look like dirty copper/or other dirty metal, one ive taped as petals loose, both lamps will require cleaning and restoration but surely an extremely rare pair, and im sure you wont find many more like these coming up for sale, like i say they are the best ive had in many years. if i had somewhere for them i would definately be keeping them. they came with lots more rare pieces such as good moorcroft etc etc which ill also be listing over the next few weeks.
