You are offerding on a good condition used Federal Civil War period infantry pattern overcoat made by C and D Jarnagin in the early 1980s. The coat has been in storage since 1999. It is made of the usual sky blue kersey wool and has a sky blue cape and grey wool lining for the shoulders and chest. The sleeves are lined with white cotton muslin. All federal brass eagle buttons are present on the cape, chest, and belt. The coat is all machine sewn. All edges and seams are raw. The coat fits up to a 52\" chest and was worn by a 6\'5\" owner. Added bonus: a crude burlap inner pocket has been added, as a soldier might have done in the field. The pocket is useful for mittens/scarf, etc. and is not visible from the outside of the coat This coat has seen field usage, and as such has some minor issues (advantages?). There is some light staining in places which is hardly noticeable. There is one small 1/8\" burn hole from an ember on the right skirt (easily repaired, if desired). The white muslin lining inside the wrists has greyed from use. Make no mistake, this garment has years and campaigns left in it and is a great score for the living historian with cold spring events coming up. offer with confidence; check my response. I ship USPS to US or Canadian addresses only. No returns on this used garment. I expect prompt payment via Paypal and will ship promptly. Thanks for your interest.
