Description: Antique Chinese silver scent or perfume
pouch, this piece is profusely embroidered on both sides. The figural
decoration is the same in the front and back showing a double gourd in
the middle flanked by what seem to be a frog, a salamander and two
insects. Done in metallic silver and gold thread with accents of red,
green and purple the embroidery is beautiful with only a few loose
stitches here and there. The original draw strings with generous tassels
are 12 1/2" long while the pouch itself (drawn as you see it) is 3 3/4" tall by 3 1/8"
wide. It is in excellent condition with one or two spots of negligible
