FINE ANTIQUE CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN "EUROPEAN SUBJECT" TEAPOT 18TH CENTURY
Upfor sale isarare Chinese export porcelain European subject teapot decorated with harbour scenes with European figures loading boats with cargo with European style buildings and livestock in a field. The decoration is very elaborate and well painted. The decoration on this teapot was copied by Chinese craftsmen from European porcelain teapots of the period. The teapot dates to the 18th century and measures 4.75 inches height or about 12 centimeters and measures 7.25 inches from handle to spout, or about 18.4 centimeters. The teapot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a small glaze frit to the tip of the spout. The lid, while a good match of color and age, may be associated.
