This sale is for a wonderful Chinese porcelain dish hand painted with a delicate scene of a bird perched on a rock cropping surrounded by flowers and other plants. The colors and detail in the art work is of excellent quality. The dish has three groups of scrolling on the reverse accented with flowers. It stands on a slightly rounded and tall foot rim which is very smooth to the touch. The underside is marked with a finely written Guangxu mark and we feel that dish dates to the period. It measures 6.7 inches (17cm) across and is in excellent condition with only some light wear to the enamels.
