Beautiful fine old violin around 1930 / 1940.Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description!
Finely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. Medium to fine grained spruce front, nicely flamed 2-piece maple back.Fingerboard is ebony.The violin has been repaired by our luthier (a crack on the upper back has been glued and patched from inside) and checked by our violin player on playability. It received new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, an elder ebony chinrest, new soundpost, a new bridge and new strings.These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!Beautiful old quality instrument with great potential in immediate playing condition!
