FINE ORNATE ANTIQUE Victorian Chatelaine SCISSORS, Pin Cushions, Thimble Bucket
Condition = Very Good
Age = Antique
Size = main chain measures just over 6 inches - scissors & case is just under 4 inches - thimble bucket is 1 inch
This magnificent Antique Victorian Chatelaine is wonderfully ornate with embossed decoration all over each piece (believed to be silver plate but may be low grade silver - no hallmarks that I can find). This lovely piece consists of a 5 panel chain with dog clip one end - attached to this are a pair of scissors in velvet lined case, a velvet lined thimble bucket with thimble and 2 pin cushions - one in the shape of a crescent with applied silver filigree each side plus another cushion in the shape of a closed book - this has stunning raised flower heads and shell decoration - lovely attention to detail. The piece is presented in good original condition and would have been worn by the lady of the house hanging from her waist. This is a wonderful item - don't miss out!
