The item you are offerding on are these two 19th century Victorian silver chatelaine accessories a small Dutch silver pin cushion in the form of a bucket and unusual silver & ebony wood spool for cotton or silk thread. The Dutch silver pincushion is marked on the base, but the spool thread as with many small items of silver or jewellery of this period is unmarked but has been acid tested & tests silver. The pin cushion weighs approximately 7.8grams .& the spool holder 9 grams .The pin cushion measures approximately 1 1/4 inches- 3.1 cmin height x 1 inch - 2.6 cmwidth measured across the base & is suspended on a 1 3/4 inch long piece of silver chain.
The spool thread holder measures approximately 1 3/4 inches - 4.3 cm in length x 1 1/2 inches - 3.7 cmacross & is suspended on a 1 3/4 inch long piece of silver chain.
The silver items have been really treasured over the years & are in good condition for the age, just I think the thimble the blue velvet looks like its been replaced at some time.
