The two parts of the book ends slide apart. Well engineered, although its pretty simple.
Made of wood, is hand painted, and is very funny and expressive.Purchased at an antique store in Illinois many years ago.Am not sure who or where it was made.GUARANTEED OLD AND AUTHENTIC.
Overall pretty good shape for its age.Has some paint chips and loss.Part of left arm is missing, but does not distract from display.
