This is a beautiful,2 volume set "An Encyclopaedia of Freemasonry," Written by Albert G. Mackey and Published by the Masonic History Company in 1921. Both volumes are app. 10-1/8" tall by 7-1/2" wide. The set has 913 pp. B&W full page plate of Mackey followed by a tissue guarded color frontispiece of the three graces in volume I. Volume II has a full page plate of William Hughan followed by a tiisue guarded color frontispiece of the four cardinal virtues. Profusely illustrated with numerous color and b&w plates, illustrations & drawings, this set reveals the traditions, customs, symbols, ceremonies, degrees and notable members of the great brotherhood throughout history.

This set is in good condition, some minor shelfwear to spines & minor rubbing on corners. Gilt on spine faded. Small stain on gold gilt of page ends. Endpapers are clean, unmarked and the gutters are strong & without cracking. The text is clean and has no writing, no torn or missing pages. A few pages have foxing.
