Here I have a stunning French Art Deco dress clip, mounted with a black bakelite frog or toad, upon a brass backing. He fastens with a sturdy clip on the back and it\'s stamped \"REG.APPLD FOR 849636\" below the clip. Identical frogs to this can be seen on page 87 ofLillian Baker\'s \"Plastic Jewelry of the Twentieth Century\", which was originally published in 1992.
Measures 4.0cm x 3.6cm.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No chips or cracks to the frog, just some light surface scuffs and scratches which are only visible on very close inspection. The brass could do with a clean but is also in good overall order and the clip shuts nicely.
