Gorgeous Antique Large Soup Ladle in the Lancaster pattern by Gorham, c. 1897, with a design of raised roses and a beaded edge, 12 1/4 \" L overall with a 3 7/8\" W bowl with light gold wash. No buffing, no mono removal, no monograms, in near mint condition, with VERY crisp detail of the flowers on front and back and very sharp detail on the beading along the handle. Light gold wash is original. Beautiful patina from use and hand polishing over the years. Although it is a soup ladle, many people use these large ladles for punch. It\'s an absolutely gorgeous piece to use at celebrations and holidays for either soups or punch!
Old marks of the lion, anchor and G for Gorham and STERLING. Also marked with the retailer\'s name: W.K.Vanderslice & Co, a San Francisco retailer.
