FAMOUS BLACK AMERICAN ENTERTAINERS – PART 2 ( this poster was printed in 1986, a year later than the other posters … and the shade of poster paper is slightly darker that those produced in 1985 ).

All of these posters are in mint condition and worthy of being framed. These posters are printed on a high-quality, heavy paper … which I can only describe as about half the thickness of a manila file folder.

All of these posters have copyright dates of 1985, except for the one noted .... which has a 1986 date.

A important word about my pictures: This poster is too large to fit on my scanner …so the pictures below only show the main part of the poster …and they appear blurry at the edges where I had to force the cover of my scanner down onto the part of the poster that did not fit on the surface of the scanner… see below for a detailed description and size information.

Background information about this particular poster =The portrait montage is the work of artist James Huff. The original painting, \"The Scientists\", by Huff was commissioned by Nabisco Brands, Inc., and is on permanent exhibit at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia.

Selection of the 20 persons depicted in Huff\'s painting was made by a committee headed by Dr. Thomas W. Cole, Jr., provost of Atlanta University and director of the Resource Center for Science and Engineering.

Poster Size = 14 1/8” x 18 1/8”

Each poster has:

1. A numbered listing which indicates the name of a person who is in the drawing.

2. The numbered listing corresponds to the numbered space on “the map” at the bottom of each poster so that you can find the drawing of that particular person easily …. and …. conversely, you can pick a face on the drawing, go to the map to find the number, and then find the person’s name in the numbered listing.

3. The Nabisco name and red triangle logo are either in the upper left hand corner of each poster … or … in the center on the bottom of the poster … see picture for location on this particular poster.

4. Each poster has some background information on it in the lower corner.

For those of you who collect Nabisco related items ( pre-Kraft Foods buyout ), this may beone of the rarest pieces that you may ever find.
