Fenwick 315-4 Fly Rod, four piece, 7\', 3 1/2 oz, Grizzly made blank from mid-fifties to early sixties. Comes with two section rod sock. All four sections fit in this sock. Not sure if this is an original sock to the rod. Either way, the rod sections will be wrapped individually for shipping and packed well in a hard tube.
Bottom line is the butt and tip sections are excellent and original, second section is also (except top ferrule replaced) and third section has been replaced with what looks like from a little later version of the same model. Making this a project rod, or great parts rod for someone looking for certain excellent sections.Butt Section - Tobacco type glass, reel seat, cork, gold mylar wraps, hook keeper and ferrule all in excellent conditionand original to the rod.
Second section- Tobacco type glass, gold mylar wraps and guides all in excellent condition and original to the rod, though the top ferrule does not appear original to the rod.
Third section - Glow stick type glass, silver mylar wraps, one bent guide with damaged wrap, both ferrules do not seem original to the rod (don\'t match the other three sections).
Tip section - Tobacco type glass, gold mylar wraps, guides and ferrule all in excellent condition and original to the rod.
