Fine 19th Century Japanese Carved Boxwood Mask Form Netsuke.
A veryfine19th in the form of a wonderfully grotesque mask.
Superb patinato the wood & beautifully hand carved to the very highest standard.
Bar shaped inset to reverse probably had a tablet let into it bearing the carvers signature, but as you can see it is missing.
Excellent condition with no damageor repairs.
