A veryfineantiquecarved woodennetsuke of a Foo Dog or Lion.
Superb patinato the wood & beautifully hand carved to the very highest standard.
Signed with character marks to the base.
Excellent condition but under magnification i can see that the front leg has what appears to be a hairline running around it, nothing missing & i am pretty sure it has never been off or repaired at all as there is no break were the leg meets the pierced ball, he also has one missing eye, both things very difficult to see with the naked eye & really of no consequence but mentioned in the interest of complete accuracy.
