Fine Chinese Jade Buckle Belt Dragon - Qing Dynasty:

China, Qing Dynasty. 19th century. A very rare and beautiful spinach green jade buckle belt of oval shape showing a dragon among dense foliagecarved in fine detail and relief; two circular knobs at the back. The jade is of translucent quality and has some black spots and suffusion.

Length: 75 mm.

Width: 60 mm.

Weight: 65.2 grams.

Provenance: Formerly in an Austrian old private collection, acquired around 1970 during the Cultural Revolution. Comes with the certificate of authenticity which states that the this piece has been tested and verified by X-Ray Diffraction analysis (XRD)
Condition: Fine with hardlyany signs of age-related use.
