This old spearthower or woomera was collected in the Goldfields of Western Australia by a rail worker in the 1930's and would date to the late 19thC or early 20thC. It has suffered some damage probably prior to collection - the right edge has a break off, the peg is missing from the top and handgrip has an age crack. Having said that it is a beautiful early artefact from Wongai people of Western Australia. The carving is truly a work of art where a zig zag design meanders down the face and incorporates numerous other geometric shapes. The reverse is adzed and it measures 77m in height. Registered Post within Australia will cost between $14AU and $22AU. Airmail to the US will be $35AU and anywhere in Europe $37AU
