Fine Museum Quality Antique Persian Qajar Islamic Solid Silver Box - Hallmarked:
For sale is this breathtaking antique Persian solid silver hand chased box. The box dates from early - mid 1900's.
It has been hand chased with extremely fine floral patterns with stunning birds on branches The level of detail that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. I think the birds reprsent "the birds of paradise" and the branches and foliage represent "the tree of life"
It a breathtaking charming little solid silver box.
I cannot stress how high the quality of this item really is. The design is incredibly detailed but has been completed to perfection and flawlessly by the master silversmith.
I have tested this and this is guaranteed to be Solid Silver. It has also been hallmarked with "84" but in Persian numerals which represent a purity of 875 grade silver. This was introduced by the Russian Soviets in Persia at the time. Furthermore it has also been hallmarked and signed by the maker.
I cannot stress to you simply how beautiful the box really is. These photos do not do the box any justice at all.
