I am selling an approximately 200 year-old (scroll graft) German violin out of my personal collection. The violin bears an old fictitious Stradivarius label, and the body measures 356mm. The condition of the violin is exceptional considering its age. It has no repairs to the back, sound post, or bass bar. A few top cracks have old, stable repairs. An acquaintance from the Houston Symphony played it and preferred the tone to his $10K modern Italian violin. The core tone is warm and rich, but the overtones lend it an airy brilliance. However, I realize that my judgments (and his) are somewhat subjective, so I offer a 30-day return period. No case is included. Buyer agrees to pay return shipping.
