This sword is all original and was made by the famed swordmaker Henry Wilkinson of London. The sword measures 41" with a beautiful 35" blade. The blade is bright and without any nicks or cuts. Just a slight sprinkling of patina in the upper section but overall excellent. A royal crown with floral motifs adorn the blade on either side. The hilt of the sword is shaped with the customary 3 branches for the cavalry and retains a goodly amount of its silver plate the rest a combination of gray and brown patina. The grip still retains 100% of its silver wire wrap. There is only about 10% of the original rayskin under the wraps but the ribbed wooden grip is very sound. The steel scabbard has just one dent in it mid sword and the scabbard retains about 40-50% of its silver plating and the rest a combination of gray/brown speckled patina. Just some slight "pin-prick" patina (smooth to touch) near drag of sword-almost imperceptible. Overall a very fine British sword by a famed ma
