Thisis in excellent condition being free of chips, nicks, fleabites, cracks,scratches, crazing, restorations and water sickness/mineral deposits. It sitslevel with no shelf wear present. The finish is bright and shiny. There are thetypical manufacturing issues such as mold~seam lines and a few bubbles.Certainly minor distractions and are mentioned for accuracy. PLEASE NOTE: THEBLACK SPOTS ARE THE REFLECTION OF MY NUMBER SIGNS and THE WHITE SPOTS ARE GLAREFROM MY CAMERA FLASH.

Itis appropriately marked on the bottom \"Fire King\" ~ \"Oven Ware\"~ \"Made in USA\" and the number \"8\".

Ihave 2 of these for sale. This one has the 1\"band whereas the other has the 3/4\"band which is why we numbered them in the pictures so I could keep themstraight and so you know exactly which one you are purchasing.

Thisis the Fire-King Colonial Pattern as referenced in Jadite Identification &Price Guide Book by Joe Keller and David Ross page 147. Colonial is not referencedin Gene Florence’s book. It is also referred to as a Batter Pitcher.

Regardingthe 1\" outer band, my measurement is actually 1 1/8\". There is also asize discrepancy on my other bowl with the outer 3/4\" band being 7/8\".

Thereference for this piece is in Anchor Hocking’s Fire-King Book by Gene Florence3rd edition page 132 and Jadite Identification & Price GuideBook by Joe Keller and David Ross page 147.

Themeasurements are as follows:

37/8\" tall x 7 1/2\" top diameter with a 3 7/8\" base diameter andthe handle length is 3 3/4\". The width is 9 1/2\" measuring from thelip to the outside of the handle. I also measured the capacity, filling it1/2\" below the top, and it holds 5 cups or 2 1/2 pints.

Pleasenote: measurements are approximate and I could be under or over here and there.I do try to be as accurate as possible since this is quite time consuming.

PACKING:

I want to make sure your item reaches you safely. I havesome creative packing methods that I use in certain cases. I do recycle packingmaterials only if they are in “like new” condition. If your item is breakable,I highly recommend you unpack your parcel on a soft surface as there will bemultiple layers of bubble wrap and other packing materials. I will combineitems whenever possible to save you or me on shipping costs. I will use mydiscretion to determine if items can be safely packed together. There isnothing more upsetting than to finally find that “special piece”, only for itto arrive damaged.

I live in a rural area in the mountains of Western NorthCarolina. There is a 1 day delay on all shipping types USPS offers. I deliverall outgoing packages directly to my Post Office. They have 1 pick-up daily at4:00 pm. Your package goes from my local post office to Greenville, SC. Icannot offer overnight express shipping. Much to my surprise, the local postoffice charges the overnight rate but the parcel actually doesn’t arrive for 2days. If you need overnight service, UPS is an alternative I can check on foryou. Priority mail is supposed to be 2 – 3 business days.

The local post office closes extra days when a holiday isinvolved. If a holiday is on Monday, the post office closes both Friday andSaturday – same with Thanksgiving. I do get mail delivery which is how they getaway with closing the postal location. I have to go down the mountain to my boxfor the mail and they do not pick up parcels.

If you have a problem with this situation, please do notoffer. Once your parcel leaves my hands, it is totally out of my control. Pleasekeep this is mind when rating my shipping time. On certain items, I only shipwithin the US, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. I do ship to selected overseaslocations such as Japan and Europe.
