He's been through some stuff and he's still here, and except for the engraved truss rod cover, he's all original. By the time a guitar get's this old, it has its own personality so I hope if you are offerding you are a great player, a good human being in which case the two of you will be quite compatible. Otherwise, please don't. There's a little seperation between the back and one side that I've sown in the picture and that's a Luthier's job with a clamp and some hide glue. There's a little wave to the back too, and there are two minor seperations happening in the front. Show the picture to a first Luthier if you have any trepidation about offerding. I cannot be responsible for an instrument of this vintage and value. You will get what you pay for and you will be happy because he really is one of a kind. This vintage instrument has a beautiful rivh warm tone and is quite loud. He is a better guitar than I am a player so I must let him go in all fairness. I don't know what the bubbling on the varnish on the bottom of the front side is about. Maybe he was rescues from a New Orleans Brothel fire when he was just a boy. If you are man or woman or musician enough this is the guitar for you and I envy you for being the one to have it. Good luck.On Apr-03-13 at 09:10:07 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have been told I believe accurately that this is 1969 not 1966.
