The Fountain of Life (Fons Vitae), by Solomon Ibn Gabirol. Specially Abridged edition. Philosophical Library, NY, 1962. Octavo (6¾" x 7¾), red cloth covers with black let on spine, 133 pages, short bibliography, dust jacket. Text in English—translated from the Latin by Harry E. Wedek, with an introduction by Theodore E. James. According to preface, this is the first English-language translation. Condition: Good--/Good--. Binding tight. Moderate wear to cover edges, moderate rubbing to covers, corners and spine ends worn with minor fraying to spine ends. Pen underlining on two lines of two pages and notation in margin of one, pencil notations on about 12 pages. Wear along edges and foldovers of dust jacket, tears at corners and one-inch chip at upper spine end of dust jacket, moderate rubbing.
