I think my grandfather must have known was coming... back in 1940.I say that because that was the last time I think he threw out anything. When he diedat 95 he had one if the most extraordinary collections ... of well ...everything.You name it ...he had it. Yes he collected the typical stuff like stamps, coins, china,fountain pens and music boxes. But he also went in everything from keysto hotel soaps. When he died he had over 500 pieces of flatware.I am now in the process of dividing it up by manufacturer and listingon . Here is the first lot. There are four knives. One is over 9 1/2 inches,one is over 8 inches and there are two different knives a little over 7 inches.they all sayChristofle Hotel France except one of the small ones justsaysChristofle Hotel on it. They need some silver polish and they are certainlyused with typical used flatware scratches. The large knife weighs 3.2 oz. I don\'t know anything about flatware if it would help to give other info just emwrite me thru the question section. I have no idea when they are from nor where he got them. I am startingthem at what I think is a low price and let the market tell me what they are worth.
IMPORTANT: I wanted to get this listed but I am away from March 30 toApril 7th so I can not ship during this time.
