This is an ORIGINAL piece
of amazing fantasy art by one of the greatest fantasy artists of our time,
Frank Frazetta. It looks to be an idea for a painting, a preliminary sketch if
you will but it could have just been Frazetta doing what he did, drawing. Or
perhaps working an idea out.
It was purchased years ago
(approx 1995 if I recall correctly) at sale and then later I purchased it in
a collection of comic art and comic books.
I believe it to be from the
late 1960's.
It is TWO SIDED, meaning
there is MORE original artwork on both the front and the back. Frazetta's
signature is on both sides along with an "F" at the bottom of the
back side, at the foot of the male figure who has one arm up. There is also a
female figure at the top of the back side and what appears to be figures behind
her. Your guess is as good as mine.
It is pencil and the paper
is very yellowed. The gentleman I purchased it from had it displayed in a
display case from what I can recall. I have had it stored in a safe since
purchasing it. There was a note from Mrs. Frazetta that accompanied it. That is
the best provenance I can offer along with the artwork. Buyer will get that copy along with artwork.
The condition is still very
good but the paper being old is delicate.
I am selling it, along with other pieces of art, out of necessity at this
time. So, that said, ! Get it while you can, not many of his
originals pop up for sale.
I also have published Frazetta art and some color pieces as well.
PLEASE see my other sales, now and upcoming. I have Frazetta, Kirby, Lee,
Davis, MacFarlane and many others. Some are known, some not as well known, but
all are wonderful in their own rights.
Please do not inquire about my entire collection, I will list the pieces I
choose to sell and I am not interested in selling the entire collection.
Ask questions if you have them.
Thanks for your interest and good luck if you’re offerding.
