Frank Steinman Truman Residence Print - Autographed By Harry Truman 22 X 27:
This is a Frank Steinman Watercolor Print of Truman's Independence, Missouri residence/library. Harry Truman's autograph was collected he was at the library the day of the visit. Approx. 22" x 27", unframed.THE PIECE IS IN A MATTE BOARD BUT NOT IN A FRAME. It is in very good condition - some minor warping to the print from age - The inscription reads: Kindest Regards, from Harry Truman and dated 4/19/62. A minor crease to the left of the signature. I suspect the print was rolled at one point before being put in the matteboard. Frank Steinman was primarily a watercolorist and a native of Mexico, MO. He was a 1936 graduate of CMC, Fayette, MO and studied at the Kansas City Art Institute for a couple of years, last attending in 1937. Steinman focused many of his watercolor paintings on historic covered bridges in the Midwest including the famous one in Madison County, Iowa. He died in October of 1986.
