This is beautiful silver collector plate that was minted by theFranklin Mint in 1974. It is a Limited Editionand is number 464. It is part of theOFFICIAL and it is titled:John Adams. It isissued by the Bicentennial Council of the Thirteen Original States.The plate is solid Sterling Silver,which is marked on the back,and itis inlaid with 24 karat gold. It weighs approximately 235 grams or 7.5 troy ounces, and measures 8 inches across. It featuresJohn Adams speaking to several of our Founding Fathers, in this scene of American history. He is telling them: "...all that I hope for in this life, I stake on our cause!", which is inlaid in gold on the top rim of the plate. The back of the plate reads: The 1974 Official Bicentennial Commemorative Plate, Issued by the Bicentennial Council of the Thirteen Original States, Solid Sterling Silver Inlaid and Electroplated with 24 Karat Gold, 464,©, FM (Franklin Mint mark), 1974. This is a quality plate that is in circulated condition. There isvery minimal tarnishing and it has developed a patina through the years. It has been kept in a soft pouch. There is no paperwork.
