Special note: this is an original circa 1780 Louis XV bureau plat. We guarantee that it is genuinely Louis XV period and not one of the many 19th or 20th century reproductions you will see on and in other venues.This beautiful bureau plat is, of course from France. Its solid oak frame is strong and in excellent antique condition and we see no evidence of repairs or damage to the frame. The veneering has been touched up here and there-something you always see on genuine old pieces like this. This one has fewer veneering repairs and less damage than usual and there are no significant loose areas in the veneering. The leather top is either original or a very old (e.g., early 1800\'s) replacement. It is beautifully patinated and solidly attached. This tableisinvery goodantique condition considering its 200+ years of existence. Dimensions: 59\" long, 30\" wide and 30\" high. (5314)
