French Bronze Souvenir Medal - J.m. Fabre - Entomologist 1911:
You are viewinga French bronze souvenir medal dated 1911, and designed by artist, L. Patriarche, and is signed as such. The medallion commemorates J. M. Fabre, and is marked "Bronze" on the edge. The front of the medallion features J. M. Fabre seated at a table studying a specimen. The words: "J. M. Fabre, Entomologiste" appear. The reverse side features a house surrounded by trees and leaves, with scorpions, beetles, praying mantis and grasshoppers. The piece has great patina, and has fantastic details.The piece measures 2-1/8" wide by 2-3/4" long, andwas found in Central France. We are also listing another similar French bronze medallion. The two medallions together make an impressive display!Our low opening offer does not reflect the quality of this item, but we all enjoy the challenge of areal sale!
