French Model ANXI Light Cavalry Sabre with Scabbard:

All original. On the edge of the blade is etched “Manufre Rale de Klingenthal 8bre (October) 1830 s.a.”, which indicates its use during the Russian/Prussian wars. Blade shows spots of dark mottling but is relatively smooth; not significantly pitted. It has inspectors’ stamps/marking on Hilt, and faint inspector’s markings on blade. Leather on grip is worn but overall condition is great.
Also includes original Scabbard. The throat of the scabbard is missing, but easily replaceable. Scabbard retains original, rare wooden inserts to prevent blade rattling.
Previous owner/collector purchased this sword while on vacation in Strasbourg France, and we have owned it for 17 years. It will make a fine item for any collector of French Swords.
