Outstanding 1612 portrait of a noblewoman. Excellent condition, oil on lined canvas with newer stretchers and frame. Check out the detail on this masterpiece!

Dimensions are 39 ¼” x 30 ¼“, and framed the dimensions are 43 ½“ x 34 ½“.

Outstanding painting!

The first line of the inscription (in Latin) indicates that theportrait was done (ACTUM) in 1612. The sitter was aged (AETATIS) 30+ ... thesecond digit is difficult to read. The remainder of the inscription, in French,indicates that she was blessed (benir) by God (Dieu) with the safe delivery of9 children! The arms are for two families.
