This is a coin operated GE fan where one nickel allowed one hour of operation. This fan runs very quietly and smoothly for the amount of air it puts out. The on and off switch works well. The solid brass blades are true and in balance. They have not been bent. Coin op fans were very popular in motels and hotels. This solid cast iron fan weighs 28 lbs. The slot in picture #8 iswhere the nickel was placed. You then turned the knob and the timer was set for one hour, additionalcoins would add time. The little glass windowshows2035 coins deposited.
