Genuine Imperial Antique Chinese Porcelain Dayazhai Famille Rose Narcissus Bowl For Sale

Genuine Imperial Antique Chinese Porcelain Dayazhai Famille Rose Narcissus Bowl

IMPORTANT! - I'm going to list a lot of antique items, many of which are Chinese and Japanese. Descriptions will be brief, but I will do my best to describe accurately - PLEASE ask questions if you have any BEFORE offerding. Thank you and good luck!

Bowlmeasures 8.75" (22.8 cm)widel x 1.75" (4.6 cm)tall x 5.25" (13.7 cm)deep. This bowl is decorated in famille rose enamels with yellow ground depicting wysteria and grapes along with a magpie (bird). This design was made specifically for Dowager Empress Cixi, but copied into the Republic period (early 20th c.). However, THIS IS A GENUINE IMPERIAL narcissus bowlfrom the late Tongzhi to early Guangxu period.

According to Guanyang Yuci: Gugong bowuyuan cang Qingdai zhici guanyang yu Yuyao (Official Designs and Imperial Porcelain: The Palace Museum's Collection of Official Porcelain Designs and Porcelains from Imperial Kilns of the Qing Dynasty), Forofferden City Publishing, Beijing, 2007, p. 178, no. 38., ONLY 4 pairs of this style of bowl in yellow ground were ever made.

1 bowl was sold at Christies Hong Kong in 2008. Another was sold at Christies London in 2009 for $22,426 ( style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;" class="MsoNormal">THIS IS THE THIRD (3) NARCISSUS BOWL OF THIS STYLE & COLOR THAT HAS COME TO sale. THERE WERE ONLY 8 BOWLS IN YELLOW EVER MADE, SO THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE IMPERIAL PIECE!!!!!

Condition: VERY GOOD CONDITION - 1/8" (3.2mm)chip to the inside of the inner mouth of the bowl (photo #12). Small enamel losses andthroughout due to normal wear. Otherwise, No damage / No restorations

SHIPPING - I DO NOT MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING. I ONLY CHARGE ACTUAL SHIPPING COSTS!

THERE IS ARESERVE TO COVER THE COST OF MY INVESTMENT.7 Day Money Back Guarantee MINUS the cost of shipping and handling.

INTERNATIONAL buyers! - PLEASE....when deciding on how much to offer, REMEMBER that you may have import/customs fees.

Starting offer is only $9.99!!!!!!

Good luck!

Just want to add a brief note. The reserve for this item is far lower than the Christies 2009 sale price for the same style bowl. Please keep in mind that since the 2009 sale, genuine Dayazhai Imperial porcelain has gone up in value at least double, if not triple.

Apair of fishbowls were sold by Bonhams in 2011 forover $300,000 even small pieces of dinnerware are bringing in high amounts. Here is a small turquoise bowl that sold in 2012 for over $126,000. my research is correct, narcissus bowls are more rare than dinnerware pieces.

DO NOT MISS OUT ON AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUY A GENUINE IMPERIAL DAYAZHAI PORCELAIN.

REMEMBER - Large sale houses charge 18-21% 'buyers premium' - THERE IS NO BUYER'S PREMIUM ON AND YOUHAVE A 7 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

GOOD LUCK!
