1968 HASBRO G I JOE VINTAGE #76 0 DEEP SEA DIVER 1968 NEW NRFB

Very Very RARE 1st ISSUE DEEP SEA D I V E R IN TRANSITION BOX

The cover is beautiful! You will not find a finer piece!

This is a unique piece: (Extremely Rare)

there is a misprint on the cover that reads

“GI Joe Action Pilot Not Included”

The later box has been corrected to read

“GI Joe Action Sailor Not Included”

The GI Joe Action Sailor Not Included is much more common

this boxalsosays made in Hong Kong

but the helmetbreastplateand weight belt are marked made in Japan.

Integrity and customer service are very important to me,

This is 45 years old and very scarce!

Greatpiece! The suit is still supple no hard spots or signs of dryness.

Somevery slight discoloration in spots due to age.

Thecover has a very small ink rub on the upper left corner and on one side.

Otherwiseit is perfect.

Thereis a small indentation/crease on the back, lower

lefthand corner. There is also a wrinkle on the right side.

This is a very rare transition piece.

When Hasbro changed over to the picture boxes

they took their old stock and adapted it to the picture boxes.

After distributing the old stock

they released the newly designed boxes with compartments

andeverythingsealed in bags.

I have several other similar window box sets

like the Deep Sea Diver,

Hasbro just put a picture box cover over the old style window box set

and sealed it in cellophane.

For the serious collector that wants the best!!
