Be still my heart! This is a most GLORIOUS gown from the late 1950\'s to early 1960\'s. Absolutely BREATHTAKING in a rich, ultra soft, CHAMPAGNE SILK BROCADE. This gown has ALL of the best details and it is SO flattering in a curve-hugging, hourglass design. This is going to SHUT IT DOWN, Ladies. This dress is everything that a gown should be. . . .sexy, flattering, shimmery, lush and timeless.
This ONE OF A KIND Piece Features:
1. The richest, creamiest, champagne silk BROCADE with metallic GOLD LAME shimmering FANS. Absolutely the BEST brocade I\'ve seen in ages. The fans are large, stately and they GLIMMER with every catch of the light. The fabric has a gorgeous sheen, a lustrous, rich quality and the weave is dense and structured. It is BREATHTAKING and I truly mean that. The fabric actually looks like it has very fine, gold glitter in it making this piece perfect for the BURLESQUE queen, stage performer or any gal that wants ALL EYES ON HER.
2. The bodice has large and stately, TEARDROP PEEKABOO CUTOUTS for showcasing delicious glimpses of skin. The high neck of the dress is trimmed in rich, chocolate brown MINK FUR and adds a warm and decadent touch to the champagne silk and cut-outs. Sexy and seductive and completely gorgeous and feminine.
3. Impeccable tailoring can be found throughout this piece. It was CUSTOM MADE here in the San Francisco Bay Area by Margaret Scheuenstuhl of MILL VALLEY. For those that are not familiar with the area, MILL VALLEY is considered the HIGH SOCIETY of the Bay Area. Full of socialites and the wealthy, upper echelon. This is a ONE OF A KIND piece and was custom made with meticulous care and quality. The entire dress has hand-finishing and tailoring with top stitching throughout. It is superbly constructed and designed and beautifully finished.
4. The entire body of the dress is lined in satin for a buttery smooth wear and also allows for extra durability and structure to the gown for a beautiful HOURGLASS SILHOUETTE that hugs each of your curves perfectly.
5. Smooth running back metal zipper keeps for a streamlined design. Corded hook and eye closure at the neckline adds an extra custom fit to the back neck.
6. The sleeves are 3/4 with double darting at the back elbow and are trimmed in the same mink fur that the neckline is trimmed in. The wrists of the sleeves taper down and connect with hook and eye closures to connect the fur at the wrist. The fur is so rich and decadent the the extra long hairs of the mink are still there and unbroken from time and wear.
7. Deep, diagonal bust darting and long waist darts help to contour the gown beautifully.
8. The elegance of this gown is superb. Liquid champagne silk flows smoothly down the frame to a straight-cut bottom hem. Each side of the gown has nearly 16 inch leg slits for a sexy and demure look. Perfect for showcasing a fabulous pair of heels.

MEASUREMENTS~
The bust is 42 inches from armpit to armpit and doubled.
The waist is up to 35 inches, but best for a 32-34.
Hips are up to 42 inches at the fullest point, but best for 40 inches.
Shoulder to shoulder is 16 inches
Sleeve length is 17 1/2 inches as they are 3/4 length in style.
Shoulder to waist is 16 inches
Waist to skirt hem is 37 inches
CONDITION~
Good to excellent condition. The gown is absolutely stunning, but could use a dry clean to freshen it up. A few areas of the fur are not as thick and have wear, but it does NOT detract from the elegance of this piece. The left sleeve has a wear line to the silk brocade where the natural \"seam\" of the arm would be that exposes more of the gold lame, but it still does not detract from the piece in my opinion. The silk is RICH, buttery and has a gorgeous sheen and a beautiful, thick, heavy drape. You will NOT be disappointed by this ONE OF A KIND, custom-made gown. The last photo depicts the wear mark on the sleeve.
