This is an EarlyAntique Victorian Blanket Box.

Dated Circa 1860.

Made of Solid Pine, which has a Wonderful Rich Grain to the Waxed Wood. The Blanket Box has the Original Metal Bindings to the Sides, which are well detailed and really compliment this Early Chest.

The Chest has the Original Pin Stud Work all over, including Large Brass Domes to the Top of the Lid, and the Front of the Box.

The Blanket Box is of Good Proportions, and Measures 39cm tall, (15.2 inches), 67cm across, (26.2 inches), and 41cm deep, (16 inches).

The Wax Finish gives the pine a warm appearance.

With the Original Lock, Hinges and even Better, the Original Key, which works the lock well.

Witharetaining Strap, to hold the Lid Safely Open.

With The Original Swing Cast Iron Handles to the Sides, which are good and Strong.

With a Lovely Detailed Escutcheon to the Front of the Lock.

The Blanket box has been fully restored.

The Chest is an Eye catching piece of Furniture, I just love it.

The Chestwould make for a perfect Quirky Side Table, Coffee Tableor even storage for a warming Eiderdown in the spare room, the possibilities are endless.

Perfect to display, the Chest can be viewed all round.
