Gorgeous Antique Beaded Victorian Handbag Purse Pierced Cathedral Frame Tapestry:
This is a lovely antique beaded purse with a pierced cathedral frame. The glass beads form a large tapestry pattern. It is in excellent condition. I saw no missing beads. There are some loose ones in the upper right corner.
The bag is securely attached to the frame with no missing stitches. Check out the lining, great shape with no rips nor tears. It is trimmed in metallic braid.
It measures 6" x 4 1/4" and has a 14" chain.
It was photographed on an antique Edwardian dress from the huge collection that was my mother and grandmothers. In my listings you will find clothing from 1850-1980.The frame is pierced beautifully and the chain strong. It clasps firmly. This is a beautiful purse that you can display proudly.
Like antique clothing? This collection of dresses and accessories is vast I hope you keep watching. If you have 5 or less positive response, please email before you offer, as I recently have had several winning buyers who felt paying was an option and not a commitment.I accept PayPal, and ship within two business days, and often the same day as payment. I am happy to combine items when possible. Shipping for this item is for the continental US. International buyers please note- I do not mark forms as gift. I do not end sales early. I prefer but do not insist upon shipping Priority Mail for international sales as it carries insurance and can be tracked. Customs fees are the buyers responsibility. I do not charge handling fees.A word about my sales- I do not use reserves- for me, it is unfair to dangle a carrot in front of someone and then go "oopsie" just foolin'.I list at all hours to accommodate people in all time zones. If you are interested in an item and will be away from the computer, you might want to just pop in that offer and set your limit. (ie: life gets busy!)For my repeat overseas customers, I will hold onto your item for up to a month as you fill a box with other items you offer on. Then ship the filled box. This saves you on postage which will be affixed on the full box, not individual items. I just ask that you pay for each item as you win it, so as to not back me up. Just keep in mind you will still have to pay customs fees on each item.
Please remember almost all of the garments I sell are 120 years old to 40 years old. They were made for one individual long ago before the Big Mac was invented and not all bodies are the same. While I strive to be totally accurate in listing any imperfections, occasionally a small thing is missed. About a third of my customers are repeat customers, so they already know a great deal in a unique antique item. I hope you will too!
